New versions of the Chevy Silverado Midnight & Rally Editions recently made their debut at the 2019 Texas State Fair and they’ll certainly take your Silverado to the next level! Keep reading to see what to expect from the 2020 Silverado Midnight & Rally Editions!
The new 2020 Chevy Midnight special edition focuses on off-road ability and will be available in LT Trail Boss & Custom Trail Boss trims. Compared to the standard Silverado, the suspension on the 2020 Midnight has been lifted by 2-inches. The package also includes 18-inch black painted wheels with Goodyear DuraTrac off-road tires, skid plates, Rancho mono-tube off-road shocks, and an automatic locking rear differential.
The 2020 Midnight edition wouldn’t be complete without extra exterior tweaks, either. The 2020 Midnight Edition brings a new level of attitude to the Silverado with all-black accent Bowties, exhaust tips, badges, grille, bumpers, and the off-road assist steps. Red recovery hooks were added for a subtle pop of color too. You can expect high-intensity LED headlamps & full-curtain daytime running lamps on the LT Trail Boss Trim as well.
Moving to the power that the Midnight edition offers – you’ll have a choice of two engine options on the Custom Trail Boss trim: a 5.3L V8 with 6-speed automatic transmission or a 6.2L V8 with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The latter engine pumps out 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque!
Last but not least, the 2020 Midnight Edition also comes with the Z71 Off Road Package – so your Silverado can really tear up the beaten path!
For those looking for a sportier Silverado, then the 2020 Rally Edition is ideal for you. The 2020 Rally Edition will be available on the Custom and RST trim levels of the Silverado. Color options for the Rally Edition will be Red Hot, Silver Ice Metallic, Summit White, or Black, each featuring rally strips on the hood and tailgate of the truck.
The 2020 Rally Edition also features 20-inch (Custom trim) or 22-inch (RST trim) black painted wheels. Special black badging and a body-color grille will also ensure your Silverado stands out on the road.
Under the hood on the Custom trim, you’ll have a 2.7L turbo-four engine, which produces 310 horsepower and 348 lb.-ft. of torque. The RST trim offers 3 engine options: the 2.7L turbo as on the Custom, a 5.3L V8 with 8-speed automatic transmission, or a 6.2L V8 with 10-speed automatic transmission. The 5.3L V8 produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque while the highest level 6.2 V8 engine produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque.
